Tahanan Books for Young Readers specializes in quality children’s books for the Filipino family and supplementary curriculum materials for schools and libraries.

Founded in 1991, Tahanan Books has close to 100 titles in print. Renowned for its high quality and thoughtful attention to detail, Tahanan is a six-time winner of the National Book Award for Children’s Literature (see Awards & Citations).

Named for the Tagalog word “home,” where the love of learning and reading begins, Tahanan aims to foster and nurture a young person’s passion for learning with books that celebrate Philippine culture and history.
